New Dawn Government Committed To Resolving Corruption And Economic Development

We are committed to addressing and finding long-term solutions to the many challenges we have inherited. One of these challenges is resolving the issue of medical supplies in our hospitals and clinics at reduced costs and eliminating corruption in the sector.

We are delighted that, through our aggressive international diplomacy engagements, we have attracted more than 50 companies to participate in the Zambia European Union Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forum. This is a joint public-private initiative to be held in Lusaka from 1st to 3rd March 2023.

The key deliverables from this historic forum will be to make a strong case for our country to produce pharmaceuticals and medical supplies locally. We look forward to Zambia realizing its full potential of becoming a producer and eventually an exporter of pharmaceutical products in the region and beyond.

We reiterate that Zambia is open for business again, as we are providing an enabling environment for local and international investment that will create jobs and other opportunities for our citizens.
