HH Visits Flood Hit Areas In Kabwata, Chawama, Kanyama and Matero constituencies of Lusaka

Fellow citizens.

This afternoon we took a visit to flood hit areas in Kabwata, Chawama, Kanyama and Matero constituencies of Lusaka.

Our findings are heartbreaking as houses have been submerged forcing our fellow citizens to relocate to safer areas.

Though a challenge, let's use this opportunity to redesign our drainage system and if need be relocate our people to safer areas. We also call on citizens to only obtain land through the laid down procedures and ensure that you abide by the processes for obtaining planning authority.

We have called on the relevant bodies such as DMMU among others to work in unison and ensure that such challenges are fixed. Ultimately the lasting solution lies in proper city planning.
