In the face of massive debts, rampant corruption, and the worst drought in living memory, the New Dawn government has shown what we as Zambians can do together.

We have brought peace, ended the political violence and united as one people. Millions more children are now in school, learning skills to fulfil their potential. We have strengthened healthcare, empowered communities through the CDF, cut the debt, and ensured those who stole from you face justice.

This progress is not just for the few—it’s for every Zambian, no matter who you are or where you come from.

    • Implemented Cash for Work, benefitting 656,000 Zambians in 2024.

    • Minimum wage increases for domestic workers, shopkeepers, bus and truck drivers.

    • 80,616 skills bursaries distributed under CDF.

    • 160,000 jobs created through foreign investment.

    • Thousands of new teachers and healthcare workers recruited.

    • GDP growth predicted at 6.2% for 2025.

    • Expanded social cash transfer to 1.3 million households.

    • 90% of debt restructured and $900 million in loans written off.

    • Inflation and mealie meal prices coming down.

    • $37 billion in pledged foreign investments since 2021.

    • Introduced free primary and secondary school education, resulting in 2.2 million extra learners enrolling in schools.

    • Provided desks for 1.2 million more learners.

    • Recruited 41,400+ teachers.

    • Constructing 317 secondary schools.

    • Supported 4.7 million vulnerable learners through home-grown school meals.

    • Recruited 18,000 additional health workers.

    • Constructed 279 health facilities, including 115 mini-hospitals.

    • Reduced malaria cases by 17% from 2023 to 2024.

    • Increased national drug availability from 35% to 68% of health facilities.

    • Reduced maternal mortality by 30% in 2024.

    • Reduced new-born mortality by 37% in 2024.

    • Expanded water supply networks and boreholes, benefitting over 4 million people.

    • Abolished the death penalty.

    • Enacted the Access to Information Act.

    • Increased CDF funding to K36.1 million per constituency.

    • Improved Corruption Perception Index score by 24 places.

    • Increased funding to Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission to K400m per year.

    • Brought Mopani Mines and Konkola Copper Mines back online.

    • Increased copper production to 1 million tonnes by end of 2025.

    • Attracted multi-billion dollar mining investments from FQM, Barrick, Kobold, and CNMC.

    • Revitalising TAZARA railway to Tanzania.

    • Reduced excise on small, local beer breweries by 50%.

    • Delivered record maize harvest in 2025, driving down mealie meal prices.

    • Released K275 million to fund payments to farmers under SAFF.

    • Distributed K184 million worth of mechanised farming equipment to training sites.

    • Increased income tax relief on rural business to 20%.

    • Livestock population on track to reach 7 million by 2027.

    • 1.1 million farmers adopted Smart Agricultural Technologies in 2024.
