President Hichilema Urges UPND Lusaka Leaders To Uphold Unity And Mobilise Around National Development
President Hakainde Hichilema today officiated a strategic meeting with United Party for National Development (UPND) leaders from all districts of Lusaka Province, held at Mulungushi Conference Centre.
Addressing the gathering, President Hichilema emphasised the importance of peace, unity, and discipline within the party, urging leaders to remain focused on national development and to embody the values that brought UPND into office. He called on party officials to maintain humility while taking pride in the party’s achievements, which include the rollout of free education and the recruitment of thousands of teachers, health workers, and personnel across defence and security wings.
“UPND is the vehicle through which we were elected to public office, including the Presidency. All appointed officials must respect the party and its values,” President Hichilema said.
The President encouraged party leaders to intensify mobilization efforts and clearly communicate the government’s delivery record to citizens. He noted that the UPND’s resilience is anchored in strong leadership, unity, and a consistent focus on development.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to working with the Zambian people to build a united and prosperous nation, regardless of the challenges ahead.
