HH Welcomes Professor Richard Williams From Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh, Scotland
We were delighted to have hosted Professor Richard Williams, the Principal and Vice Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh, Scotland with whom we shared a number of ideas around developing necessary skills in entrepreneurship, renewable energy, accountancy, management, strategic planning and many other fields, in our country.
We thanked Heriot-Watt University for developing skills and leadership to 1,070 Zambians that have since passed through the Institution and are making an enormous contribution to the economic growth of our country, in various sectors.
We believe education is the best equaliser, and that education that provides competence through fields such as financial literacy at an early age has huge benefits for the growth of the economy, at both personal and national levels. We implored the University to explore more ways in which they can collaborate with Zambia in areas of technology, finance and agriculture.
