Happy International Women’s Day From HH

We wish our women a happy International Women’s Day. We all know that our women play a critical role in social cohesion. We however must acknowledge that women are still disadvantaged which we all must address aggressively.

This is the reason our Government’s policy on empowerment has been targeted at women. Our CDF has an allocation of the loan component dedicated to women. Our government has also introduced free education to keep girls in school in addition to providing free hygiene kits. We have introduced a bursary system to ensure that our girl child can afford to enter college.

We have also continued the STEM programme for girls so that more and more girls can enter the traditionally male dominated field of science and technology.

We will continue to empower our girls and women so that they are no longer marginalized.
